Our dedicated pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient unit, NICU and thriving multispecialty clinic are all co-located at our flagship campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are seeking Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team. We welcome an experienced BC practitioner or a new BC/BE graduate.
* Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care.
* Participates in system-wide health management initiatives.
* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
* Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.
* Receives and resolves patient complaints.
* Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
* Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
* Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.
* Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.
* Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.
* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities.
* Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.

- You will join our team of one Pediatric Gastroenterologist and two Certified Nurse Practitioners supported by dedicated ancillary staff including dietician and behavioral health professionals.
- Supportive Adult GI group on-site for ERCPs and motility studies.
- Dedicated, experienced pediatric GI nursing staff that works well as a team, helps to manage inbox and symptoms calls
- Opportunities for general pediatric gastroenterology and those with additional fellowship training
- Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service, inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Excellent work life balance with flexible call schedule - Primarily phone calls on weekday evenings and one weekend per month
- Systemwide EPIC electronic medical record system with dedicated onsite support
