Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, with weekend requirements.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and provide treatments according to established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience, specifically in telemetry settings.
• Ability to handle a 1:6 patient ratio.
• Experience with total joint patients and acute chronic medical conditions preferred.
