Histology Technician (Certified)
Pensacola, FL | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Immediate opening for a Certified Histology Technician (HT) to join a busy dermatopathology laboratory in Pensacola, FL. This role is responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination, including embedding, microtomy, staining, slide preparation, and quality control.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree required
- NAACLS Histology program completion
- HT (ASCP) certification required or eligible to obtain within 1 year
- 2+ years of histology experience preferred
What You'll Do:
- Process and prepare tissue specimens
- Perform embedding, cutting, staining, and slide preparation
- Maintain specimen records and quality control logs
- Support dermatopathologists with accurate, timely results
