Senior Accountant

Position Overview A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions, financial reporting, and operational finance activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial results, supporting the month-end close process, and partnering with operations to provide insight into manufacturing performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally. Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & General Ledger Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and trial balance Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts Financial Reporting Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support internal and external reporting requirements Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis Manufacturing & Cost Support Support cost accounting functions , including inventory and production-related accounting Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and variance analysis Partner with operations to ensure accurate tracking of production costs and efficiencies Process Improvement & Compliance Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting processes Assist with audit preparation and support external auditors Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or production environments Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Compensation and Benefits Salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
