Registered Nurse - ICU

Neurosurgical Intensive Care Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to neurosurgical intensive care patients with complex neurological and post-surgical needs. Monitor and respond to acute neurological changes while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neurological status, intracranial pressure, and hemodynamic parameters regularly.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to stabilize patients.
• Perform routine imaging and diagnostic procedures, including CT, MRI, and Angio assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and respond promptly to neurological and physiological changes.
• Float to other ICU or step-down units as needed to manage varying patient loads.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license, with critical care or ICU certification preferred.
• Experience caring for acute neurological and post-surgical patients.
• Proficiency in neurological assessments, invasive monitoring, and emergency response.
• Ability to work 2-3 patient assignments with flexibility to float as required.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
