Maintenance Coordinator
The Maintenance Coordinator coordinates departmental activities including work scope evaluations, development of schedules, resource loading, execution of work activities and subsequent evaluations. Responsibilities include representing the department at Work Management "T" meetings, working effectively with the management team setting priorities, allocating resources, and driving to operational excellence. The role also involves assisting in developing the departmental training plan, assisting in the development and management of department budget, meeting with multi-discipline teams to develop schedules to reduce backlogs & support other departments as required, providing feedback to improve work processes, observing and ensuring compliance with procedures and policies, communicating technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing, assessing conditions and making decisions under pressure and time constraints, performing First Line Supervisor duties, performing field observations of personnel to reinforce standards and expectations and identify gaps in performance, working with management to identify and address performance deficiencies, recommending and implementing actions to improve gaps to operational excellence, responding to Incident forms and attending MARC meetings as required, participating in the shared resources program, and serving as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Requirements include a B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience or equivalent work experience, 6 years commercial or military nuclear work experience, and 2 years previous supervisory/management experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations, technical proficiency in the assigned area. Desired: SRO or certification on BWR or PWR.
