Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Greenville ISD is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Primary Purpose: Assist in providing speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IDEA, TEA regulations, and under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Qualifications:

• Education / Certification: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field
• Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) issued by TDLR
• Must meet all TEA and district requirements

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• Knowledge of speech and language development
• Ability to implement therapy activities designed by supervising SLP
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality

Experience:

• School-based experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Therapy Support: Implement therapy plans and activities developed by supervising SLP
• Provide direct therapy services to students as directed
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain service logs and therapy documentation
• Assist in preparing materials for evaluations and ARD meetings
• Ensure compliance with district and state guidelines

Collaboration:

• Work under direct supervision of a licensed SLP
• Communicate student progress and concerns to supervising SLP
• Participate in meetings and trainings as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and movement between campuses
• Mental Demands: Ability to manage assigned caseload under supervision
