Patient Customer Service Specialist

NuVasive Clinical Services seeks a Patient Customer Service Specialist to support billing and collections operations for intraoperative neuromonitoring services. The role involves insurance verification, patient account management, payment processing, and compliance with healthcare regulations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Process new charges, verify insurance, and maintain accurate patient records
• Resolve patient billing inquiries and collect on outstanding accounts receivable
• Contact patients, providers, hospitals, and insurers to obtain and document required information
• File appeals and set up payment plans while assisting patients with service inquiries
• Review correspondence, identify payer issues, and report findings to management

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of related billing, collections, or administrative experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and data analysis
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and Protected Health Information handling
• Ability to multitask and work independently in fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
