Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with inpatient behavioral health experience for a 13-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting requiring prior travel experience.

Details

• Inpatient adult behavioral health unit within a hospital setting
• 8-hour day shift, primarily 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with some flexibility required
• 5 shifts per week
• Saturday coverage may be required with a compensatory weekday off
• Holiday coverage may include Labor Day
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• BS, MS, or OTD in Occupational Therapy required
• Current, active MA OT license required (license required if applicable)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an OT
• Inpatient pediatric or mental health experience required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• 2 recent references from a supervisor or manager matching this specialty
• Driver's license with address matching demographics on file

Additional Information

• Conduct OT evaluations and provide both individual treatments and group sessions in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Work with patients with neurodevelopmental and/or psychiatric diagnoses
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration; no more than 5 days of RTO will be considered
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a local pay rate
