Our client is seeking a CMMC Assessor to support cybersecurity compliance engagements for organizations pursuing CMMC certification. This role will conduct end-to-end assessments, validate security controls, review compliance documentation, and provide guidance to clients managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Perfect Fit:
- Active CCA (Certified CMMC Assessor) and CCP (Certified CMMC Professional) certifications with hands-on CMMC assessment experience.
- Experience conducting end-to-end CMMC Level 2 assessments, reviewing SSPs, POA&Ms, CUI requirements, security controls, and assessment evidence.
- Strong consulting/client-facing background with CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, and experience supporting C3PAO, DoD, DIB, or federal compliance environments.

Responsibilities
- Conduct CMMC Level 2 assessments for defense contractors and regulated organizations.
- Review SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, procedures, technical controls, and supporting evidence.
- Interview stakeholders and validate security implementations against CMMC requirements.
- Document findings and create assessment reports.
- Provide remediation recommendations and certification readiness guidance.
- Manage multiple client assessment engagements simultaneously.
- Partner with internal teams and client leadership throughout assessment lifecycles.
- Support continuous improvement of cybersecurity compliance practices.
- Active Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) certification required.
- Active Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) certification required.
- Hands-on experience performing CMMC assessments in a consulting or C3PAO environment.
- Strong understanding of CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, CUI, and federal cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience reviewing SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, controls, and compliance evidence.
- Strong client communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Experience with DoD, Federal, Defense Industrial Base (DIB), or government contractors preferred.
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, FedRAMP, RMF, or NIST 800-53 experience is a plus.
