Director, Field Reimbursement Capabilities - West
Amgen Inc
Amgen seeks a Director to lead the Respiratory Field Reimbursement organization across the western United States. This role oversees Senior Managers and Field Reimbursement Managers, translating enterprise access strategy into regional execution while managing specialty pharmacy and buy-and-bill reimbursement expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Senior Managers; build accountable FRM teams through goal-setting and performance management
- Translate enterprise access strategy into consistent regional execution; foster accountability and collaboration
- Analyze field activity, customer insights, and performance data to identify gaps and guide action
- Monitor payer, channel, and competitive trends; recommend solutions to address access barriers
- Travel regularly within assigned region to assess execution, coach leaders, and strengthen capabilities
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 5+ years customer service/leadership experience
- Minimum 8 years progressive field leadership, market access, or pharmaceutical reimbursement experience
- Demonstrated expertise in specialty pharmacy and buy-and-bill reimbursement models
- Proven experience developing leaders and directly managing managers or people leaders
- Strong strategic planning, analytical reasoning, and ability to leverage quantitative/qualitative data
- Deep knowledge of payer policy, coverage, coding, and reimbursement landscape
