Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This role is situated in a dynamic admission unit focusing on general medical and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care with a focus on both efficiency and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and care for a patient load that turns over quickly, ensuring timely admissions and discharges.
• Provide compassionate and professional nursing care to a variety of medical and surgical patients.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care plans and treatment options.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical or telemetry nursing specialty.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Strong ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 efficiently.
• Must submit a complete work history and resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• References, skills checklist, and certification cards are required for consideration.
• Verification of nursing licensure through Nursys is necessary.
