The facility operates as one of the largest free-standing heart hospitals in the nation providing comprehensive cardiac surgical services. The institution maintains 6 operating rooms, 8 catheterization laboratories, and 28 ICU beds to support advanced cardiac procedures with appropriate staffing and equipment. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system for streamlined patient documentation and clinical coordination. The hospital provides specialized cardiac care with dedicated resources to ensure quality patient outcomes across all cardiac service lines.

This area serves as a gateway to numerous natural attractions and geological formations across Northern Arizona. Visitors can explore the iconic Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon featuring narrow passages and light beams, along with the dramatic horseshoe-shaped bend of the Colorado River at Horseshoe Bend. The region provides access to Grand Canyon National Park and serves as a starting point for day trips to Walnut Canyon, Wupatki National Monument, and Sunset Crater. Additional attractions include Bearizona drive-through wildlife park, Meteor Crater, and the Petrified Forest with its colorful Painted Desert landscapes.

The adult cardiac anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for adult cardiac surgical patients Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements. The clinician will manage an average of 5 admissions per day with 1 inpatient and 1 ICU case across 6 operating rooms, 8 catheterization laboratories, and 28 ICU beds. The position requires supervision of CRNAs while providing anesthesia services for cardiac procedures. Candidates must maintain active Arizona or compact licensure with fellowship training in cardiac anesthesiology and board certification in anesthesiology. The clinician will utilize the Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and clinical coordination.
