Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and HCHB proficiency for a 13-week travel contract requiring weekend rotation and holiday coverage.

Details

• Home health setting with a caseload of 6 patient visits per day
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 0700–1930, 40 hours per week
• Patient population includes those with chronic diseases, wound care needs, IV therapy, PleurX, and wound VAC
• HCHB (Homecare Homebase) is used for charting; experience required
• Epic EMR is also utilized at this facility
• Weekend rotation required; specific schedule depends on staffing during the contract period
• Floating may occur across service areas including Stanly, Albemarle, Badin, Harrisburg, Mt. Gilead, Norwood, Troy, and surrounding cities

Requirements

• Active OT state license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance required
• Minimum 1 year of home health OT experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) required
• Skills in IV therapy, PleurX, wound VAC, wound care, patient assessment, disease teaching, and OASIS documentation required
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the home unit; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered if they have home health experience
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• 5-day orientation provided, including facility and unit (NEO)
• Departmental leadership available for support within a team-oriented environment
• Samsung Note 9 phones are used in the field
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free parking available
• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
