Part-Time Associate, The Cigar Republic Retail & Lounge

Summary

The Cigar Republic is a premium cigar retail store and private membership lounge offering an elevated hospitality experience for cigar enthusiasts.

The part-time associate position assists with the day-to-day operations of our upscale cigar retail store, private club, and lounge.

This role assists with retail operations, lounge service and membership experience while ensuring an exceptional hospitality environment for customers and members.

Responsibilities include making sales, assisting with promotions and sales, ordering and receiving inventory, merchandising and pricing and ensuring daily lounge operations run smoothly.

For the private club, responsibilities include assisting in managing memberships, maintaining the club environment and creating a premium hospitality-style experience for members.

Job Requirements

• 20 hours/week; Saturdays required and flexible workweek schedule

• Bachelor’s Degree not required, but 1+ years of experience in retail, hospitality, or related management roles preferred

•    Previous cigar industry experience or knowledge preferred but not required

•    Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and general computer proficiency

•    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

•  Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products to make sales

•  Assist with daily operations including ordering, receiving, organizing, and displaying cigars and accessories    

•  Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail and lounge environment

•  Build strong relationships with members and customers and understand their preferred cigars and purchasing habits

•  Assist with membership sign-ups and coordinate with the membership team

•  Maintain a welcoming and professional lounge atmosphere
