Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Glenview, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including stress echos, strain imaging, bubble studies, and structural heart imaging.
• Conduct evaluations for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM).
• Manage patient care before, during, and after echocardiograms.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Schedule

The position is primarily a day shift role, running from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Orientation will be held during the first full week of employment.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Weekend work will be required as needed for call. Holiday availability may also be expected based on departmental needs.

On-Call Requirements

The selected candidate will participate in an on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks, covering shifts from 4 PM to 7 AM for a full week. A callback minimum of 2 hours is expected with a response time of 1 hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient setting.
• Certification required: ARDMS or CCI, with RDCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer designation.
• Desired experience includes Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) and IV initiation skills, though not mandatory.
