Waitstaff Full-Time 6:30am-2:30pm

Position Summary This position is primarily responsible for table service to residents and guests. Perform duties in compliance with established Company policies and procedures and in a professional manner. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills Greet residents warmly and take their food order Deliver food ordered by resident and guests to the table, and demonstrate a courteous and considerate manner to all guests Clear prior course dishes before serving next course Clear tables at the end of the meal and pre‑set table for the next meal service Perform cleaning responsibilities as assigned and ensure that the dining room is maintained in a sanitary and orderly manner Perform any assigned cleaning tasks and/or side jobs Attend scheduled meetings and in‑services Knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standards Assist with preparation of food items as assigned Adhere to department standards of dress Follow directions and systems as indicated Stock salad bar according to diagram Perform duties in a team environment Safely operate all job related food service equipment Perform other duties as required Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability This position requires the ability to read, comprehend and retain instructions that apply to work procedures; communicate effectively with people of all professional and social levels; must be able to see and read instructions; ability to hear normal volume sounds and voice patterns with constant background noise; must be able to receive and follow verbal and written instructions; and, must be able to read regular and small size print. This individual must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner in order to communicate with residents, employees, family members, volunteers and the public. Reasoning Ability Must be able to remember multiple assignments over an extended period of time. This position is subject to frequent interruptions. Must have the ability to appropriately perceive and respond to an emergency situation. Computer Skills Basic computer skills utilizing data/word processing and spreadsheet abilities. Work Environment The work environment can be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, money, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and extreme hot. Physical Demands Must have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds; ability to carry out the following physical functions: stand, walk, bend, balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, fingering, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, and walking; speak clearly at a volume adaptable to the hearing impaired; and in the event of an emergency must be able to physically assist in resident evacuation. Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that position requirements can be fully met.
