CDR General Services is seeking an experienced Class A Welder to join our client's team in Paducah, KY . We are looking for a skilled and dependable individual with experience in barge repair, shipyard welding, and marine fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Class A welding on barges and marine equipment.
- Weld structural components and steel materials according to specifications.
- Perform welding repairs and fabrication in a shipyard/dry dock environment.
- Operate welding equipment, torches, power tools, and hand tools safely.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and proper penetration.
- Read and interpret measurements, layouts, and welding requirements.
- Perform welding tasks in various positions and work environments.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Complete assigned welding and repair projects efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous barge repair, shipyard, or marine welding experience required.
- Class A welding experience required.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
- Experience using power and hand tools.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
