Senior Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a  Senior Staff Accountant  who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands manufacturing operations, and enjoys partnering with leadership to provide accurate financial information that drives business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Support multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls across the accounting function
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement more efficient accounting workflows
• Partner with operations and leadership to ensure financial data accurately reflects manufacturing activity

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or job-costing environment
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
• Experience working within a large ERP system
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Highly Preferred

• NetSuite ERP experience
• Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Inventory accounting experience
• Experience supporting external audits
• CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting certification

Not a Fit If...

• Your accounting experience is primarily limited to QuickBooks-based bookkeeping environments
• You have not worked within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or job-costing environment
• You prefer highly repetitive transactional accounting work with limited ownership

Our comprehensive benefits package includes, but is not limited to, a competitive salary between $100,000-$120,000/year depending on experience, accrued vacation time, 10 paid holidays annually, 401(k) with company match, health, dental, and vision insurance as well as Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and life/AD&D insurance.
