Avacend Health is actively hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for multiple Med/Surg and Med/Surg/Telemetry contract opportunities in Atlanta, GA . These are priority openings, and qualified candidates available to start soon are encouraged to apply!

Available Opportunities

• RN – Med/Surg/Telemetry: Day & Night Shifts
• RN – Medical Isolation/Med-Surg: Night Shifts
• Multiple positions available

Position Details

• Pay: $50–$55/hour W-2, based on experience
• Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours weekly
• Shifts: Days and Nights available
• Start Date: October 19, 2026 (Priority)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications, including IV and oral medications.
• Develop care plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Provide patient education and coordinate care.
• Follow infection-control and isolation protocols.
• Monitor telemetry patients when assigned to telemetry units.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care Med/Surg nursing experience
• Active Georgia RN or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications—both required
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

Preferred Qualification s

• Telemetry experience preferred, but not required
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and infection-control skills
