JobSummary WeareseekingaControlsEngineertojoinamanufacturingteaminTuscaloosa,Alabama.Thisroleisresponsiblefordeveloping,implementing,andoptimizingcontrolssystemstoreduceequipmentdowntime,improveproductionefficiency,andsupportcontinuousimprovementinitiativesinafast-pacedmanufacturingenvironment.Theidealcandidatewillhaveexperienceworkingcloselywithplantmaintenanceteamsandsupportingautomatedproductionsystems. KeyResponsibilities Developandimplementsoftwareandhardwaremodificationstoimproveequipmentperformance,quality,andefficiency. Troubleshoot,maintain,andprogramPLCsystemstoresolveproductionissuesandminimizedowntime. Supportautomatedmanufacturingequipment,includingrobotics,HMIs,andvisionsystems. Collaboratewithmaintenance,engineering,production,andqualityteamstooptimizemanufacturingoperations. Coordinateactivitieswithcontractors,vendors,andsuppliersasneeded. Maintainaccuratedocumentation,includingmachineparameters,programmingchanges,equipmentrecords,drawings,manuals,andpreventivemaintenancedocumentation. Manageinventoryofcriticalsparepartsandsuppliestosupportuninterruptedproduction. Participateinequipmentlaunches,processimprovements,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives. Ensurecompliancewithcompanypolicies,safetystandards,ISO14001,andIATF16949requirements. Providemaintenanceteamsupportandleadershipcoveragewhennecessary. RequiredQualifications Bachelor'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,AutomationEngineering,orarelatedengineeringdiscipline. 5-6yearsofmanufacturingengineeringexperienceinanindustrialproductionenvironment. Experienceworkingwithplantmaintenanceteamsandautomatedmanufacturingsystems. ProficiencywithAllen-BradleyPLCplatforms,including: ControlLogix CompactLogix MicroLogix Abilitytoread,troubleshoot,andmodifyladderlogicprograms. ExperienceprogrammingandsupportingHMIsystems,includingPanelView. ExperiencewithFANUCrobotics;ABBroboticsexperienceisaplus. Experiencewithindustrialautomation,controlsintegration,andvisionsystems. Strongtroubleshooting,analytical,andproblem-solvingskills. PreferredQualifications ExperiencewithSiemensPLCprogramming. ExperiencewithelectrictorquecontrolsystemssuchasAtlasCopcoorStanleytools. Experienceleadingmaintenanceactivitiesorsupportingmaintenancepersonnel. Strongcommunication,organizational,andmultitaskingabilities. Self-motivatedwiththeabilitytoworkindependentlyinahigh-volumemanufacturingenvironment.
