Assess patients varying from children to seniors using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create bespoke treatment plans that meet immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care plans.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment protocols for all age groups with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adeptness in adapting therapeutic techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical insight and problem-solving aptitude.
Comfortable with utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
