About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU/Med Surg/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC preferred Must-Have: Chemotherapy certification preferred. Candidates must pass an exam during orientation to demonstrate knowledge. A driver's license is required. Candidates must not have current employment with any competing facilities. Artificial nails are not permitted. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in a step-down unit focused on adult oncology and trauma patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio during the day is 1:4 to 1:5. Nurses will occasionally titrate insulin and Cardizem drips. Chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix are common medications managed. High-flow respiratory equipment is encountered on the unit. RNs will float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed. Nursing assistants and support staff are available on the unit. We prioritize patient experience with hourly rounding and bedside shift reports. The ideal candidates will come to work with a positive attitude and a commitment to team collaboration.
