About the Hospital Insight Veterinary Wellness Center is a modern, well-equipped hospital providing exceptional care to pets throughout the El Dorado Hills community. Our facilities include: Two fully equipped surgical suites Digital radiology PRP therapy IDEXX in-house laboratory Ligasure and cautery equipment One of the few community blood banks in California Our team works together to deliver outstanding patient care while creating a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow. The Role As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and RVTs while ensuring every patient receives outstanding care. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing exam rooms and obtaining patient histories Providing compassionate patient care and nursing support Assisting with treatments, diagnostics and anaesthesia Supporting surgical procedures Performing blood draws and running laboratory samples Maintaining accurate medical records Assisting with client communication and education Supporting reception duties when required, including scheduling appointments, answering phones and checking clients in and out Helping maintain a clean, organised and efficient hospital What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient and client care. You'll ideally have: Minimum 1-2 years' Veterinary Assistant experience Experience placing IV catheters Experience running in-house laboratory diagnostics Excellent attention to detail Strong communication and client service skills Compassionate approach to patient care Positive attitude and collaborative team spirit Ability to thrive in a busy hospital environment Schedule Full-time position Four 10-hour shifts Monday-Saturday availability required Shift start times may vary Compensation $23-$27 per hour Shift differential available for applicable shifts About VetnCare VetnCare is a growing community of veterinary hospitals across Northern California, built on the belief that exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people.
