Job Description
Pediatric Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

The Pediatric Infusion Center supports a variety of pediatric specialty services with infusions and procedural care. These include chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody administration, blood product administration, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy. We are seeking dedicated candidates who can excel in prioritization, communication, and IV skills, with a preference for those who have experience with Intravascular Access Devices (IVADs) and ports. Flexibility in adjusting to the changing needs of the Pediatric Infusion Center is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer pediatric infusions and procedural care safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
• Monitor patients during infusion therapy and respond to any complications or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
• Educate patients and their families regarding procedures and follow-up care.

Requirements:

• Current RN License in New York State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in pediatrics.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification.
• Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) certification preferred.
