Job Title: Contract RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must hold current ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a contract position for an RN specializing in the Emergency Department. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of patient cases. The unit includes 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track areas, and 5 behavioral health rooms. Staffing includes day and night shift teams with charge nurses, paramedics, LVNs, and PCTs. Patient ratios are 1:4 in the emergency department, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients. Key equipment includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Experience with MEDITECH, trauma, and holding inpatient care are preferred. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, and airway support. Ideal candidates are multitaskers, team players, and self-starters. Scrub color for this position is navy blue. Candidates should adhere to all established unit policies and guidelines. The unit emphasizes teamwork and professional development opportunities.
