Energy Efficiency Consultant, Residential Single Family Program (Hybrid Schedule)

Role Overview Join a team of professionals committed to a clean energy future as an Energy Efficiency Consultant in the Energy Efficiency department. In this role, you will manage the Residential Turnkey Solutions (RTS) program delivery for single‑family homes, ensuring electric and natural‑gas programs are deployed in a customer‑centric and cost‑efficient manner. Responsibilities Represent Eversource in all RTS meetings and working groups with internal staff, counterparts from other Mass Save Sponsors, implementation and evaluation vendors. Provide guidance and decision‑making at all project levels, considering technical, financial, and practical justification. Engage with stakeholders, communities, and special interest groups on program implementation, development, and planning efforts. Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure all resultant improvements are delivered on time, on budget and within scope approved by management. Directly responsible for budgeting, invoicing, and tracking of expenses and energy savings, including quarterly performance measurement. Review and approve moderately complex projects requiring knowledge of residential construction, building systems, engineering calculations, and energy‑efficiency concepts. Provide customer resolution support, engaging with customers and external partners to resolve issues. Support the 3‑Year planning process as subject‑matter expert and contribute to drafting. Assist with the development of RFPs for contracted services and provide direction to business partners on procurement and installation of energy‑efficiency improvements. Oversee core program services including home energy assessments, weatherization, heat‑pump installation, health and safety repairs, and general energy‑efficiency education. Manage seasonal vendors such as Home Performance Contractors (HPCs), Independent Installation Contractors (IICs), and Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN) contractors. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Energy Policy, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience: 5+ years in energy efficiency, program/project management, engineering, energy policy or similar; prior leadership experience strongly preferred; experience in Mass Save or comparable programs preferred. Strong business, operations, and analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Strategic thinking and leadership, mentoring, networking, and teamwork skills. Excellent verbal and written communication in collaborative settings. Exemplary project‑management skills with ability to prioritize competing priorities and remove obstacles. Knowledge of energy‑efficiency and decarbonization technologies and their applications. Fundamental understanding of financial principles and data management in MS Office and Salesforce. Ability to make data‑driven decisions and demonstrate initiative. Aptitude for developing and implementing programs with goal‑based performance networks. Experience in customer service and communication at multiple organizational levels. Additional Information Worker Type: Regular; Number of Openings: 1. Emergency Response: Employees may be called to assist during emergencies outside of normal responsibilities. Compensation: Annual salary range $113,990.00–$126,650.00. Eligible for incentive potential.
