Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Schedule

Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, with call requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. This includes circulating for vaginal deliveries and attending to newborn resuscitation. Care will also involve monitoring and assisting laboring patients, communicating with providers, and providing care in Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery monitoring and support
• Circulate and support vaginal deliveries
• Attend cesarean deliveries and administer newborn care, including resuscitation
• Provide care for antepartum patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical competencies

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• At least 2 completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Experience with CPN and Cerner EMR preferred
