Part-Time Simulation Technician - Undergraduate Nursing Programs

Goodwin University is seeking a candidate for the position of Part-Time Simulation Technician for the undergraduate nursingprograms. This staff position is technology driven and the individual will be responsible for high-fidelity simulationsoftware use in the simulation center; equipment managementfollowing infection prevention practices and Sim electronic programintegration. In addition, the Sim Tech will be responsible for maintainingsupplies for the laboratories to ensure organization for thedelivery of the clinical component of the nursing programs. Thisposition is on campus in the nursing laboratories on the fifthfloor. Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities : Maintain equipment and stock of lab supplies. Assist with lab scenarios with students and faculty. Perform daily, weekly, monthly equipment maintenance. Maintain the lab in safe, clean, prepared working order. Morning and evening start up and shut down of lab. Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safetypractices are followed. Other Functions Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation dictates. Continues professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends. Assists other department staff as needed to promote a teameffort. Knowledge, Ability and Skill : Healthcare experience required, medical terminologyrequired. Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering bestpractices and policies to promote belonging and inclusion and buildan environment in which all members of the University community aretreated with respect and dignity. Ability to volunteer to be a patient for clinicalsimulation. Skilled at organization and stocking of supplies. Patience to assist students mastering skills. Skilled at integration of Sim technology and other similarprograms Skilled at Microsoft programs including Excel, PowerPoint,Forms Qualifications Education, Training and Experience : Associate Degree or higher. Prior healthcare related experience required, preferred ineducational environment. At least one year of clinical laboratory experience.
