Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer IV at the Denver, Colorado office to perform routine, in-depth, fracture critical, tunnel, and canal inspections. Inspections may include use of snooper trucks, bucket trucks, boats, and/or man lifts.This opportunity can include bridge design work and the ability to complete design related tasks with a clear understanding of state, regional and municipal standards.The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications and cost estimate for transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures.Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations.Use current engineering design software.Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.Lead and conduct field inspections of bridges and other transportation structures following NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) and other relevant regulations.Supervise and mentor bridge inspection team members, ensuring quality and safety in all inspection activities.Evaluate structural integrity and document deficiencies, deterioration, and maintenance needs through detailed reports, sketches, and photographs.Utilize inspection tools, software, and drones (as applicable) to perform comprehensive structure assessments.Prepare inspection reports, load ratings, and rehabilitation recommendations in accordance with industry standards.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.PE license or ability to attain reciprocity in possessing another U.S. state PE license within one year of employment.A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.Preferred Qualifications:6+ years' experience with bridge inspection and/or bridge design.PE highly preferredAASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) experienceAASHTOWare Bridge Management experienceFHWA-NHI-130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges CertificationFHWA-NHI-130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges CertificationFHWA-NHI-130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection CertificationExperience operating snooper trucks, bucket trucks, and man liftsAdditional InformationSponsorship is not offered for this position now or in the future.Relocation is available for this position.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
