This contract opportunity involves supporting K-6 or K-8 students with mild to moderate disabilities, with a manageable caseload of approximately 30–40 students. Working on a campus with four buildings, you’ll enjoy collaborating within a comprehensive school community while focusing on delivering high-quality speech services to those who need it most.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina SLP license and active NPI number (required for Medicaid services)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
• Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations in school settings
• Familiarity with typical school-based SLP responsibilities, including assessments, intervention planning, and data documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and families
• Organized, adaptable, and committed to evidence-based practice

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy to students in grades K–6 or K–8 as needed
• Conduct thorough evaluations, develop individualized education plans, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet students’ unique needs across settings
• Stay current on best practices in school speech-language services

This contract spans from late August through the end of May, with 37.5 hours per week onsite, offering the chance to work closely with students in a supportive school community. Interviews are being scheduled promptly via Zoom or in person.
