Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join a respected clinical setting dedicated to quality patient care. In this role, you will be the face of compassionate healthcare, expertly drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities:

• Draw high-quality blood samples from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens accurately for laboratory testing, maintaining specimen integrity and chain of custody.
• Explain procedures to patients, creating a trusting environment and alleviating anxiety related to blood draws.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of blood collection and specimen processing in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
• Support laboratory and clinical operations through timely and precise data entry and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and ensure excellent patient service.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors by promoting process excellence and contributing to a positive team culture.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 12 months of direct phlebotomy experience, with proficiency in pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
• Exceptional venipuncture skills and the ability to perform blood collection confidently and safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a patient-first approach, ensuring comfort and trust.
• Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills, with experience in maintaining detailed records.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work the scheduled hours, which include early mornings, weekends (Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 am-3:30 pm), holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite within a 20-25 minute commute.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Medical assistant or paramedic training.
• Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Experience working in retail or service environments demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory procedures and specimen processing.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant, paramedic, or related medical training preferred.
• At least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience; more than two years is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a customer service role and proficiency with electronic data entry systems.

Other Requirements:

• Valid phlebotomy certification (where applicable).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Candidate must have their own reliable transportation to commute to and from the worksite.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to stay for the entire shift without excessive absenteeism.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform blood draws for extended periods.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating professionalism at all times.
