Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health
Location: Florida
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00). Every other weekend required.
Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with home health experience to join our team. The PTA will be responsible for providing skilled physical therapy services in a home care setting, supporting patients with various health conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and document patient progress regularly.
- Utilize equipment and devices such as crutches, gait belts, and rolling walkers.
- Implement and oversee home exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on medications, signs, and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
- Assist in lifting and transferring patients with appropriate techniques and tools.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Valid Florida PTA license or a compact license.
- BLS certification required.
- OASIS training preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
