We are a busy, well established Optometric practice seeking a friendly and personable individual with a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who will support the patients through their entire eyewear selection process, ensuring accurate prescription verification, high-quality lens fitting and dispensing of eyewear. This position emphasizes precision, customer service, and product knowledge to deliver an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
- Adjust eyeglasses to ensure comfort and proper alignment
- Consult with patients to understand their vision needs
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
- Assist patients in selecting suitable frames with lenses accurately according to prescriptions and products available
- Process eyewear and contact lens orders efficiently
- Perform repairs and maintenance on eyeglasses as needed
- Patient education regarding contact lenses with insertion and removal
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for Optometrists
- Conduct necessary clinical testing
- Light clerical duties
- Responsibility for managing lab orders
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in opticianry
- Skilled in eyewear fitting and visual acuity testing
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficient sales techniques
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
