# Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** October 1, 2026 **Location:** San Antonio, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), rotating weekends, 36 hours guaranteed per week**Highlights:**- High-acuity ICU environment specializing in critical care including ECMO and CRRT (NxtStg) interventions- 14-bed unit with 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio ensuring focused patient care- 13 or 26-week assignment length with 3 shifts per week and every other weekend rotation- Documentation via Meditech EMR system- No on-call requirements- Comprehensive critical care procedures including chest tube and central line insertions**Requirements:**- Active, permanent Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required- Current ACLS and BLS certifications- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) certification- Proficiency with vasoactive drips and strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring- ECMO experience preferred- CRRT (NxtStg) experience preferred- Meditech documentation experience preferred- Willingness to float to other units as needed per facility policy**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This position offers registered nurses the chance to work in a specialized, high-acuity ICU setting where advanced critical care interventions make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes.
