Job Summary

MRI Technologist, MRI Rocky Mount, NC. The MRI Technologist produces diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging scans under the clinical direction of a Radiologist while ensuring image quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique, and patient education. The role also supports departmental operations, maintains accurate documentation, and responds appropriately to patient and equipment needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school or program of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Radiographers and up-to-date continuing education credits.
  • Advanced registration in MRI with ARRT.
  • One year of MRI experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs diagnostic MRI examinations and maintains image quality and patient safety.
  • Verifies patient identity, examination orders, relevant history, and pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation.
  • Reviews patient conditions, develops appropriate examination plans, assists patients requiring additional attention, and responds to emergency situations.
  • Ensures accurate patient demographics, examination markers, images, documentation, and procedure status.
  • Uses Radiology Information System (RIS), Clinical Information System (CIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and Hospital Information System (HIS) tools to access information, document procedures, complete quality control, and transmit images.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, reports equipment concerns, documents incidents, and identifies opportunities for operational improvement.
