BESS Project Management Consultant

Job Overview Requisition Number: 33272 Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408 1-Year contract assignment (W-2). Job Description Seeking a BESS Project Management Consultant to coordinate development, engineering, estimating, supply chain, scheduling, and construction activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include daily project coordination from pre‑construction through construction, occasional travel to project sites, and support of local public hearings. Key Responsibilities Critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources focus on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule. Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other stakeholders to identify and incorporate all project variables. Develop the project’s technical scope and optimize project variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility. Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations and jurisdictional needs. Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements and support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for design development. Support the E&C cost estimating team in developing the financial model and present it to business units, actively managing it through executive budget approvals. Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services. Uphold and represent E&C’s interests on assigned projects. Engage in software applications to support activities, manage critical data and deliverables, and report on key indicators. Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives to scale for growth. Actively communicate and interface with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders. Present project progress and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management. Ensure you turn over projects moving to the Construction stage to the Construction Project Manager with an inclusive and executable construction plan. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an applicable field. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in engineering or construction.
