Requirements Specialty: Hematology Oncology Start Date: July 27 2026 Assignment Length: Ongoing – minimum 6-month commitment Schedule Coverage Full-time coverage needed 5 clinic days per week 8-hour clinic shifts Day schedule No specific dates required – ongoing need Established patient panel already in place Clinic Hours Clinic starts at 8:00 AM First patient scheduled at 8:15/8:30 AM Last patient scheduled at 3:30 PM 30-minute lunch included Call Requirements Weekend coverage: 2 weekends/month Night call: 10 days/month Call rotation: 1:2 Call type: Inpatient phone call coverage Weeknight Call: 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM Typically 2–3 patient calls between 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Rarely receive calls after 9:00 PM Covers ER and hospital team Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage Includes 2 hours gratis rounding on Saturday/Sunday Admissions: Consulting service only Hospitalists manage admissions Call Back Notes: Phone calls do not count as callback Patient Population Adult Hematology Oncology Rural community setting Average 15 patients/day 60 Hematology / 40 Oncology Provider expected to see: Solid tumor oncology Benign hematology Malignant hematology Infusion Treatment 14-chair infusion center onsite 2-bed infusion room Oncology-certified nursing staff Radiation Oncology located onsite Procedures Bone marrow biopsies: Not required Lumbar punctures: Not required Port access: Not required BMT consults/care: Not required Practice Setting Clinic Hospital EMR EPIC Support Structure 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite 3 APPs Onsite pharmacist support Participation in disease-specific and general tumor boards Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology DEA required Minimum 1 year experience PA license or IMLC only Credentialing Standard timeframe: Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges available for clean files Shift Info: Day 5x8-Hour 08:00 - 16:30
