Certain Driver License Offices have extended hours. Extended Hours Driver License Offices are expected to work a flexible schedule based on operational and customer service needs. Work schedules may include rotating shifts with start and end times between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Employees may be scheduled for extended weekday hours and Saturday operations while maintaining the established workweek and applicable state policies. Specific schedules may vary based on staffing, customer demand, office operations, and business needs.If selected for this position, the candidate will be required to report for orientation and their first week of employment to DMV Headquarters in Rocky Mount, NC. Hotel accommodation will be provided.This position is covered under the REAL ID Act. Applicants must meet the required qualifications:Must have a valid N.C. Driver License with no suspensions or revocations within the past 10 years in any state for any motor vehicle-related offense and no more than 5 active points. Therefore, pursuant to 6 CFR, 37.45, the selected candidate will be required to undergo a background check which includes a name-based and fingerprint based criminal history record check.The candidate that is selected for the position will be given a conditional offer of employment that would allow him or her to begin work subject to the results of the background check.
