DSC Warehouse Technician

Job TitleThis position is an essential part of Sherwin's distribution network.Job DescriptionThis role safely loads and unloads trucks, accurately picks paint and paint-related product orders, and ships product orders to our customers. This position moves material within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. This role also safely operates forklifts or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, sorting, packing, and transporting products.Additional Information:Schedule: Day Shift 6:30am - 6:30pm 2-2-3 Rotating ScheduleThis position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.ResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently pick ordersProcess, package, and ship orders accuratelyOrganize stock and maintain inventoryInspect products for defects and damagesExamine incoming and outgoing shipmentsReceive, unload, and store incoming inventory items appropriatelyOperate robots to facilitate effective warehouse operationsCoordinate site damage/re-pour areaAbide by all company safety and quality expectationsContribute ideas to improve or optimize warehousing proceduresKeep warehouse clean and organized dailyQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facilityHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors or pallet handling equipment, order pickers, high lifts, forklifts, or cherry pickersHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating stationary power equipment such as palletizers, conveyors, hoists and stackers, mills or farm/construction equipmentHave at least one (1) year of work experience order picking and entering orders including data entry and scanning bar codesHave at least one (1) year of experience working as a picker or packer in a warehouse or distribution center environmentAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
