Manufacturing Quality Inspector

QC Inspector (Finished Product)

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing corporation, is seeking to hire a QC Inspector (Finished Product) to add to their dynamic team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all finished products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and documenting findings to maintain high-quality standards in line with the company's commitment to excellence.

Location: Plant City, FL

Hourly Rate: $20.14 per hour

Schedule: Morning Shift (starting at 6:00 AM) Fast-Paced

Overtime: Mandatory OT depending on workload (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
• Inspect materials during production to ensure top-notch quality.
• Perform various tests on finished products to evaluate their quality, performance, and safety.
• Use tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to inspect and measure materials accurately.
• Confidently inspect questionable materials and make sound decisions regarding their acceptance or rejection.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances, and prepare reports for management review.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure that all quality control procedures and standards are adhered to, including regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing product quality and inspection processes.
• Assist in training new staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

Desired Profile:

• Mechanically inclined with experience using measuring equipment.
• Computer savvy, proficient in MS 365 and Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in quality control or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as specifications and quality standards.
• Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
• Candidates will be required to complete a tape measure test during the interview process to assess their measurement skills.
