PUBLIC NOTICE

Livingston Parish Public Schools is accepting applications for a 10-month Secretary that will report to the Livingston Alternative campus daily for the 2026-2027 school year. The Livingston Alternative Program is on the same campus as Pine Ridge, but separate and supports long-term expelled students academically, behaviorally, and socially as an option instead of prematurely returning to the home-based campus. Students and staff will report to campus 5-days per week. This position will be a 200 Day Secretary.

Example Duties:
-Assists with miscellaneous office duties
-Basic computer problem-solving skills; Tech-coordinator and inventory
-Communicates well w/parents and school administrator(s)
-Demonstrates ability and initiative under minimal supervision
-Dependable
-Energetic, "can do" positive attitude
-Files office correspondence
-Greets school visitors
-Handles school insurance for students and faculty
-Keeps records of financial transactions
-Maintain confidentiality
-Maintains financial records; orders and issues supplies
-Maintains school faculty and activity calendars
-Neat, well-groomed, and appropriately dressed appearance
-Receives the principal's calls
-Types various documents, reports, and letters
-Well organized/multitasker
