Job Description
Registered Nurse - ER

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

Assignment Details

Maximum RTO of 7 days; every other weekend required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience; 1st timers accepted
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience in ER with management of dysrhythmias, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patients, and Triage
• Familiarity with EMR system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department to adult and geriatric populations.
• Perform assessments and manage patient care plans effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results, intervening as necessary.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time, push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
