Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in Neptune, New Jersey. This role involves performing computer tomography (CT) procedures and related techniques to produce sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. The technologist will assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This is a night shift role, scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with scheduled weekends and one holiday per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 4 x 10 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program with a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certified R.T.(R) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within three months of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body.
  • Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.
  • Thorough knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with trauma center experience preferred.
  • Strong patient care skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience preferred.
  • Six months CT experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic and any Hospital Information System (HIS)/ Radiology Information System (RIS) system is a plus.
• Additional Information:
  • Weekend requirement: Every Saturday.
  • Holiday requirement: One holiday required.
  • No on-call or float requirement.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, push and pull at least 50 pounds, and stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily.
  • Responsible for verifying insurance, preparing and reviewing patient clinical information, and obtaining outside studies when necessary.
  • Performs venipuncture, monitors for adverse reactions, and provides patient education regarding procedures.
  • Adheres to departmental policies and standards of behavior, including punctuality and attendance.
