Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and peripheral vascular interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as prescribed
• Continuously monitor patients' hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Operate and monitor specialized cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Assist with emergency interventions during cardiovascular procedures when necessary
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with cardiologists, radiology staff, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, radiation safety, and quality care standards

Requirements

• Active RN License in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Experience with cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and vascular procedures
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
