Clinical Research Coordinator

Clinical Research Coordinator – Spine Surgery In this role, you will work with Peter, Passias, MD, as a Clinical Research Coordinator. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, documenting, and interpreting health‑related information in a highly regulated clinical research environment. The position is onsite only, .75 FTE, and a one‑year term‑limited position. Key Responsibilities Conduct highly technical and specialized spine‑related scientific research under the supervision of Dr. Passias and additional MDs on the team. Establish work procedures; select sources of information and specific data; set up interviews with appropriate authorities or subjects and prepare correspondence to locate the specific data required. Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations or written reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Perform bench and clinical research experiments, including animal surgery, simulations, and theoretical investigations; analyze data and disseminate research findings. Collect information and data from patient charts and records, patient interviews and other sources; evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare protocol summary forms, statistical reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Qualifications Applicants must have an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant research experience. Completion of the DOCR North Carolina state‑approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience. A demonstrated current and ongoing significant interest in spine surgery, with prior experience and skills related to orthobiologics/osteobiologics, the Tonnis Grading Scale, and protionomics re: pre‑ and post‑spinal surgery is required.
