Associate Director, Software Development Engineering

Associate Director, Software Development Engineering Location: Wayne, PA (may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. on EST). Reporting electronically to the Wayne, PA work location. Responsibilities Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug cloud‑based software programs based on business needs and requirements. Work across the complete cloud stack: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Support the generation of technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle. Write code, perform programming, testing, and debugging of system components using the latest programming languages and leading‑edge technologies. Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and input/output parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Work closely with clients and third parties on infrastructure planning and operation. Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses and manage backup/restore operations. Supervise software developers or related personnel. Work Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:30EST, and perform overtime and weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent. Five (5) years of progressively responsible software development experience, including: Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Tuning of procedures, packages, SQL statements; use of stored procedures, triggers, and views on databases such as SQL Server, Informix, Teradata. Experience with Agile and Waterfall development models. Proficiency with web development tools: Angular, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, AngularJS. Development of web, client‑server, and 3‑tier applications using Microsoft .NET framework. Programming in C#, .NET, and C++. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS). Understanding stakeholder requirements and translating them into usable features and functionality. Use of MongoDB. Experience processing claims or working with claims adjudication technology. Building tools such as Ant and Hudson. Use of Microsoft Cloud Platform, JIRA, and Confluence. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $157,702–$263,700 per year. Other compensation may include incentive plans and bonuses, and a range of health and welfare benefits.
