Document Review Coordinator

Apex Systems is seeking a Document Review Coordinator for a healthcare organization.

This role is seeking someone who ensures accurate, regulatory and legally compliant patient health records and requests. Responsibilities include reviewing the comprehensive patient medical record for accuracy and timeliness of documentation in the electronic health record. Prepares and analyzes requested information for internal and external entities. Works closely with medical staff, attorneys and other third party requestors to provide reports. Responsible for validating information in the work queue and making corrections including incomplete documentation, missing information for coding/billing, and timeliness of patient requested information.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Experience healthcare/medical office environment to include working with an EHR and/or Release of Patient Information. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills; innovative with ability to identify and solve problems. Able to adapt, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to compile data for internal and external reporting.


Preferred Certification/Registration: Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: RHIT, RHIA and knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred.

Onsite expectation: 5 days per week onsite


Pay range: $23-25/hour
