Millwright Mechanic

We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Millwright Mechanic to join our team as a pivotal member here at PBF Energy. Job Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and overhaul process rotating machinery in a safe and efficient manner in both a shop and field environment. Able to use standard hand tools and battery operated tools. Able to use precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Protractors, and Indicators). Interpret tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, and engineering documents. Operate various shop support equipment (Saws, Forklifts, Overhead Cranes, Hydraulic presses, Bearing Heaters, Torches, etc.). Position Specific Requirements 9/80 Working Schedule Participation in callout coverage Occasional altered work schedule during extended periods (maintenance outages and turnarounds) Physical Requirements Climb ladders Walk up and down steps Lift up to 50 lbs. Work at heights Work in compact and confined spaces Work outside in inclement weather Work while wearing a respirator, Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Work in areas requiring hearing protection Possess a valid Driver’s License Candidate must have an active TWIC card or be able to obtain one Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 4+ years Millwright/Mechanical Journeyman level work experience Preferred Qualifications Possess one of the following certifications in a Mechanical discipline: Union or Company Apprenticeship, Trade School, Journeyman level Machinist Previous refinery or chemical plant experience Conditions of Employment Passing of pre-employment testing Successful completion of pre-employment requirements including a physical agility test, background check, and drug/alcohol screening Only candidates meeting these requirements will be considered Benefits 401(k) plan with company match Pension Plan Medical, dental, vision plans and Flexible Spending Accounts Life insurance, short- and long-term disability Vacation, Paid Parental Leave, and tuition reimbursement Additional voluntary benefits offered at group discounts Pay range: $46.00 to $58.69 per hour, based on qualification requirements in the CBA.
