We are seeking a full-time Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic medical staff at River Vista Behavioral Health in Madera, CA . This role offers lucrative earning potential, excellent flexibility for exceptional work-life-balance, all while working alongside a collaborative care team with a strong support structure.

Quick Facts

Employment Type: Independent Contractor/1099. With malpractice covered by facility.
Schedule / Hours: Flexible schedule with optional shared call
Patient Volume: daily case load of a minimum of 15-20 inpatient adolescent patients
Location: Madera, CA
Practice Setting: Behavioral Health Facility, Inpatient

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient services to adolescents with a focus on regular rounding, admissions, discharges and treatment team participation
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff

Qualifications

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Licensed to practice in California or eligibility to obtain a CA license
Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

About the Organization & Community

River Vista is a newer, state-of-the-art 128-bed behavioral health hospital that opened its doors in 2023. We offer a full continuum of inpatient services, including specialized units catering to the unique needs of children, adolescents, and older adults with co-occurring behavioral health and substance-use issues. We offer robust outpatient programs addressing prevalent behavioral health concerns.
Madera, CA is in California's San Joaquin Valley, about 20 miles north of Fresno. The community is known for its diversity, family-oriented neighborhoods and a blend of small-town atmosphere with growing local amenities. Madera hosts year-round community events such as farmers markets, outdoor concerts, movies in the park, and local festivals. Wineries and vineyards nearby help define the Madera AVA wine region.
